We have started all subjects except foreign language. She will start that next week. She was so excited to start that she has been so diligent in getting all her work done.
My darling girl has been asking me to keep grades so she could have grades at the end of the year, so this year I will be recording grades. Normally I do not record grades because I believe in making sure she understands what we cover before moving on, rather than just a grade, though she still will have to show she understands the material I will give her grades on her tests and quizzes. She was very excited about this and also insisted that she wanted all A's. I had to smile and giggle because I told her that means she would have to slow down and put forth her best effort, something she struggled with last year.
Well it is always so exciting to start anew, have you started school? If not when do you start?
We're waiting until after Labor Day. The kids would love to start now, but we're using a different curriculum this year and I need more time to get it organized. (only two weeks, eek!)
