I realize it is Tuesday but I could not get myself awake enough to post yesterday :( We spent the weekend watching a dear friends kiddos compete in the county fair this weekend, and had so much fun!! And they all did so awesome!

This book has strengthen my vision for how/why I am raising my daughter. It has also gave me more to add to her vision. It is not about raising good kids it's about raising them to go out under/in God's will and turn their world upside down for Christ. I highly recommend every parent and any one who has kids that look up to them to read this book!!!

4th of July







I tried to get this out two days ago but I was, obviously, unsuccessful. What a glorious time the 4th of July is to reflect on His grace and abundance. As we celebrated we started a new tradition this year and read the preamble to the Constitution and the first two paragraphs of the Declaration of Independence. Wow what a powerful reminder of why this nation was started. If you haven't ever done this as a family, I recommend you and your families reading both. I have posted the first two paragraphs of the Declaration of Independence below but please do read the preamble to the Constitution as well here!!!




Thank you for all who serve, have served or have family who serve, your sacrifice is NOT unnoticed and VERY appreciated!!!



The Unanimous Declaration
of the Thirteen United States of America

When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and of nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
